These are my zesty spicy vegan cauliflower wings, great as an appetizer or to serve at an event. I has them with Follow Your Heart vegan blue cheese dressing but you can use any dip you like or have them as is! Here’s how I do it:
Ingredients
1 head of cauliflower cut into 2” florets
1 cup of flour I used gluten free you can also use almond flour
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
S&P to taste
3/4 cup water
1 tbs hot wing sauce or any hot sauce
2 tbs panko breadcrumbs (optional)
For the glaze:
2-3 tbs vegan butter, I used Miyokos
1 tbs hot wing sauce or hot sauce of choice
1 tbs agave nectar or honey, a bit more if you like it more sweet
In a large bowl add all the dry ingredients and combine then start whisking in the water till there’s no lumps then add the hot sauce and the florets to the batter and coat all of them evenly. Add the panko breadcrumbs (optional). If air frying set to 375F, spray basket with cooking oil and cook for 12 minutes if traditional oven bake at 420F for 20 mins on a parchment lined baking tray. Melt the vegan butter and add the hot sauce and agave to it. Remove cauliflower when cooked and drizzle with the glaze till they are coated and eat as is or with dipping sauce of choice.
